I’d like to take a moment to tell you a little more about me! I come to you with a passion for learning, a love of children, and a commitment to partner with you to make this year an incredible year of learning and exploration. I am originally from Alexandria, Virginia where I grew up with three siblings. I attended the University of Virginia, where I played lacrosse and was captain of the team as a senior. In my first year at UVA I developed a deep desire to work with children while volunteering at the UVA Hospital. This inspired me to receive my Master’s Degree in elementary education. After teaching in Boston, New York, San Francisco, and now Denver, this will be my 12th year in the elementary classroom! My favorite things to do are to spend time with my Australian shepherd, Bridger, and my husband, Thomas. I love to go on mountain bike rides, runs, hikes, cook, camp, and enjoy the great outdoors!
