Your child has a planner this year!  This is how we will be keeping track of assignments. Please sign their planner each night.
District Policy
District policy and current research dictate about 10 minutes of homework per grade level each night, in addition to time spent reading. Therefore, 3rd graders should receive about 40 minutes per night. Homework should be reflective of what is being worked on in class.  If your child is spending significantly longer than this on a consistent basis, please discuss the situation with Mrs. Hollingsworth.  I am here to help and support you at home too! : )

Weekly Homework
Read 20 minutes per night
Work on 40- Book Challenge (Students may complete AR quizzes at home, but this is optional. They will have time to complete them in class)
Math: Home Connections (not everyday)
Study for spelling quizzes
